MMA GEAR is a young company run by true fans of Mixed Martial Arts. They have a passion for the sport and a broad network of professional fighters, brand owners and promoters in New Zealand and the USA.

When you buy a T-shirt from the USA online, the price is DOUBLED after shipping costs and New Zealand import taxes. So you may wonder how we can afford to bring top brands all the way from the USA and still manage to sell them at the minimum retail price!

It's simple (sort of). The brands we supply are run by true fans of the sport, great people, and all of them are eager to get their gear to you, the New Zealand consumer. We've arranged some great wholesale deals on shipping with the American companies directly, and we make our orders at the beginning of each month. This way, with bulk shipments we can afford to bring in the gear at extra low cost. That margin allows us to pay for the shipping, without pushing the net cost over the minimum retail price!

SO HOW DOES IT WORK?

Take for example a "Sinful" branded T-shirt.

Kiwi 1 goes to the official Sinful online store, and orders the T-shirt for the RRP of US$22 - which is about NZ$40. Shipping to New Zealand costs another US$17 - that's NZ$30. He pays for it with his credit card, which incurs an automatic currency conversion charge of $2. The T-shirt arrives 3 weeks later at his home, and has cost him $72 all up. An American consumer has paid half that amount for the same shirt!

Kiwi 2 is smart and goes to MMAGEAR.co.nz. He orders the exact same shirt for the RRP of NZ$50. It is sent to him the next day by courier post. He has paid way less, and waited less time for the same product.

If this doesn't make sense to you, nothing will.

NOTE TO AUSTRALIAN CUSTOMERS
Previously, all prices to Australian customers were in Australian dollars, but to avoid currency fluctuation, all prices are now in New Zealand dollars, but an added GST/overseas shipping fee is added at a percentage of the total price.
